Hey beautiful people!
I am so glad to finally be updating this! Now that I'm back in Copenhagen, I can finally fill you in on my last few days.
I was lucky to be able to visit Frankfurt, Venice and Barcelone. The weather was just beautiful in all cities. about 15 degrees during the days and barely goes down to 3 or 4 during the night time !
I went to visit my friend Maria in Frankfurt. We had such a good time. We spent the first day just cruising around town and shopping :) and woke up the next morning to drive 5 hours to visit her family in a city near Berlin! The drive was amazing and it was nice to see a lot of Germany on the way! Her parents were so hospitable and I was so glad that we went to see them. They took us to a restaurant called Essco Bar where the food was just magnificent. It is like nothing you've tasted before because the chef there comes up with his own recipes and creations. He even uses ingredients that are not commonly known in the area where the restaurant is! I would attempt to describe what I ate but I wouldn't do it justice so I just won't!
Venice, you always see lots of pictures of Venice but its very different when you're there! They have public transportation that runs in the canals, its just beautiful! It is nice because I've never been in a city like venice, so browsing around feels different and new! I also got to spend some time in a neighboring city called Padova! It has that venice feel in terms of structure and look but like other cities it has streets and cars! What's nice about Padova is that there aren't many tourists. Unlike Venice which is full of tourists, you see many real italians going on with their daily life in Padova and I thought that was nice!
Then came Barcelona! OMG, if you're going to BCN make sure you have good walking shoes! It is surrounded by mountains and therefore has a lot of hills. The place where I was staying was on top of a hill! it was alright when I wanted to go downtown but not the other way around! I did walk a lot though, I think the most I've done in the last couple of years. My feet did hurt and my energy was all consumed but my heart was smiling! Barcelona surprised me! They have architecture that you don't see anywhere else! and its all hidden between other buildings, you'd be walking and then amazing building just pop out infront of you! Totally loved it!~
I had a b-day party yesterday but I have three kids around me who don't think i'm fun when I'm blogging, so I'm going to sign off for now but I promise to update you soon :)

First day in germany!
I cant describe how lucky i feel to be here.
Im staying with my friend Maria who I met once 11 years ago in Abu Dhabi. We met online through some website. Shortly after her and her family were planning to visit the UAE. We had them over for a day where they spent the day with us and we ahowed them around Abu Dhabi.
11 years later, here I am in Germany !!
I feel like im staying in a 5 star horel. I have my own room/ bathroom with access to everything you can think of! I even got to eat sushi for the first time in 3 weeks!!!
I had a great day but im tired and ready to sleep. Otherwise I'd have a lot more tosay <3
Were doing a big road trip tomorrow :) so exciting!

Vinterferie
"Vinterferie", or spring break as we know it was over yesterday. So for the last week and weekends I've had a lot done and it was great!
Spring break was great, my sister was at school (because she does not get a spring break) but the kids were home every day and we had a really good time! it was full of activities and here's what we got to do :)The weekend right before vinterferie started, the kids and I decided to make and decorate cupcakes! now that was Fun! We got the easy cup cake mix, filled up two trays of cup cakes, baked them and then decorated them which I think was the most exciting part.
A few days later my sister says that her husband has to go to germany for work for a full day. Specifically to Hamburg which is 4 hours away. He offered to drive us, we'd drop him off somewhere and then we can keep the car for the whole day! The trip to Hamburg was so nice, it is a beautiful city and has a lot of shopping malls. It also has tons of museums which we didn't get to see because 1 - we have kids and 2 - time restrictions! We visited an interior design exhibition which my sister was really excited about and spent the rest of the day shopping.
Hamburg was nice ... But... the ride there was even better. Half way through and between Denmark and Germany, you get to go on one of those big ships where you park your car and you go up to the deck. You can get food, get shopping done or just enjoy the view! It was super exciting because I haven't done something like that before! I've been on ferries but that was different
After hamburg, there was a Noha- Maria (My oldest niece) special day where we go to go out alone, taking public transportation to get to the busy part of town and got to see the city like tourists! Of course, dropping by the Disney Store was the highlight of the trip for my niece but for me it was this little tower that I found out of no where, where for $5, you can climb up and see all of Copenhagen from top! it was really pretty and I got pictures to prove it!
Yesterday, which was technically the last day of Vinterferie, we got to go visit my sister's friends who were hosting a birthday party for one of the girls, It is not usually my scene but I had fun, the people were so nice, there was lots of music and dancing which I always like and lots of really good home made food! Who wouldn't love that?
The rest of the days were spent with family either going out locally, sitting at home doing crafts, or watching movies! The point is I think I've accomplished a lot during the last week which was nice!
The one thing left to say is I now officially got Barcelona, Spain on the map. I won't be able to stay for long but I am not complaining. I am so glad I got to add it to my itinerary.
This Friday I leave to Frankfurt! I've been looking for this for sometime now. I will be staying with a friend I met Once more than 10 years ago. More to come on that later!
This is me signing off.

First Week - CPH
Well...
I have been here for a week. and things are pretty interesting. Being in copenhagen is different than being in other cities because i am with family. I don't do as much exploration as I would do if I'm travelling alone, I also don't take pictures of the city for some reason. Maybe because I've been here before and maybe because there are no major touristic attractions that I can take pictures of. Instead, my time is filled with three little kids. and this is what my day is usually like.
Mornings:
there are 2 kinds, one where I am by myself at home and everyone's at work or school. And one where my sister is at home with me and the rest are at work/school. Usually when I'm alone I focus on self-care. take long showers, do my nails, do little things that I find interesting (i.e Soduko)
When my sister has a day off school, we usually end up shopping. Her and her Husband bought a new house about 6 months ago, which means there's always something to shops for, if not for ourselves, then its for the house.
Afternoons:
2 kinds as well, one with sister and kids around, and one with kids around only, both are awesome, but I love it when my sister spends time to take care of herself and does things that she wants to do. I end up doing some sort of activity with the children, knitting, wii-ing, dancing and being silly, playing games on my iPad and so on.
Evenings:
1 awesome kind. kids asleep, my sister, her husband and myself, watching TV shows, munching on something and cracking jokes all night till they decide to go to sleep. then its my watching whatever's on TV till I decide to sleep as well!
So as you know, i'm a couchsurfer, and it was really important for me to meet some couch surfers here in Copenhagen. so last night I met up with a big group of surfers at a place near the shopping area for drinks. local couchsurfers meet up every tuesday night, I decided to go and it was awesome! I met people from Romania, Lithuania, the states, Germany and of course a few from Copenhagen as well. I was happy I decided to go. and I hope I can do it again.
So first week, no complaints. I'm looking forward to next week though, when the kids are home for the spring break I'm planning lots of fun stuff, but I'll tell you about that next time...
It is so easy to be on Vacation ;)

Original Reason for Creating This Blog!
I still think that actually purchasing the ticket -for what promises to be an amazing trip- is the hardest part, however, that doesn't make the rest of the process easy. On my Itinerary: *Rome*, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and London! With 10 weeks left till my departure day, I feel that things just keep adding up! Here, I will keep track of the progress I make through a little tracker in the beginning of each post *how that works is explained in the first post*. I Can’t Wait, Let’s Do This!!!

A letter to My Floronian Friends!
hey hey!
I'm in copenhagen!! Everything felt very rushed after I left florence, I still feel like I haven't had enough of Italy though! I feel like I need to for at least a couple more weeks just to feel that i've done the big things that people do When In Rome!
So what happened that night is that I checked the hotel you guys dropped me at, there was no one at the reception for so long and no bells or anything to ring! and I was so bored of waiting, so i went on their computer to check the details of my booking, turns out you have to cross the bridge that has all the gold shops on it and then turn left and its right there! so I did so..
I got to the hostel i booked and it was very very... very bad! I can't tell you how bad iit was, I was the only person there, with rooms that were super old, and washroom that was so dirty and the whole place was so cold! but of course I didn't know till after i checked in, so I looked at the room and was like.. NO! so I left, and somebody told me earlier that night that cabs after 11 pm take women around for a discounted rate, so I got a cab, asked him to take me to hotels near the station (it came to 7 euros) and checked myself into a nice hotel that was super super awesome, specially after what i saw!
The next day i had to check out at 12 01 pm, but I actually woke up at 12 30 pm, but the hotel people were very nice and didnt say anything, when i walked out there was a tour bus infront of me, hopping on and off was 20 euros for the day but I told them i'm not staying for that long so they gave me a ticket for 12 euros! so I got to see everything~ without all the walking~ and i'm uploading pictures as we speak so feel free to check those out~
sorry for writing a lot lol,, i just owed you a big explanation, even though we only met for a short time, I really enjoyed your company! and I hope that I get to return the favor when you come visit me in toronto!
